The Grundomat piling method uses compressed air to drive piles into the ground. The compressed air comes from above-ground equipment which is small enough in size to minimise levels of vibration in areas with restricted access, or in underground environments. This bottom-driven system drives steel tubes of up to 150mm in diameter to a predetermined setting.
It is possible to weld more tubes together, as needed, until such a point where they can reach the design depth.

The system has multiple applications on smaller builds, like house extensions, conservatories, orangeries, garages, porches and garden rooms. Standard tube diameters range from 100mm to 150mm with a bearing capacity of no more than 90kN.
Grundomat Piling minimises environmental impact, not just in the limitation of noise and vibrations, but also because there is no piling rig or soil removal required to complete the work. Because the compressed air source isn’t contained within the restricted area, disruption keeps to a minimum.
